Request for Expression of Interest (REI) for a Municipal Integrated Waste Management Strategy

The Rural Municipality of Corman Park (RM) is interested in developing and implementing a cost effective long term strategy to best manage solid waste and recyclable materials generated within the municipality. All interested waste management service providers are requested to respond with their capabilities to provide one or more of the waste management services listed.
The RM is hoping to ascertain which service providers in the waste management industry would be interested in collaborating with the municipality. As a municipal wide “Integrated Waste Management Strategy” is developed the scope and specifics of any collaboration will be determined. The focus of any resulting strategy will be to effectively coordinate the management of various waste streams generated within the Municipality. The optimal goal of this initiative is to implement and obtain efficiencies that reduce operating costs, insure sustainability, and maximize related revenues for municipal waste disposal activities as long term risk to the public is minimized.
The RM is open to suggestions and ideas from service providers who would be interested in forming a long term relationship with the municipality. Service providers include but are not limited to, private sector companies, consortiums, contractors, municipalities, and research institutions.
At this stage the RM is NOT looking for detailed cost proposals and work-plans. The RM is ONLY interested in receiving some general information on the type of waste management service(s) that a organization can offer.
Background information provided and the structure for submission can be found with the document available for download.
