When can I expect my tax notice?

The tax notices are mailed typically in the last week of July each year for the calendar year.

What are the South Corman Park Landfill hours?

Summer Hours: April 16 to September 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Winter Hours: September 30 to April 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday The landfill is closed Sunday, Monday and Statutory Holidays.

When are taxes due?

Taxes are due on December 31 of each year. As of January 1 the current tax amount becomes arrears and a penalty of 1% is added to the tax account on the first of each month.

Is there a discount for paying taxes early?

There is a discount of 5% on any payment made before September 30, 4% discount on payments made in October and 2% discount on payments made in November.

Where do I take my garbage and recycling?

There are 3 landfills and 1 transfer station available to residents of Corman Park. Please refer to the Landfill Map in the map section to determine which landfill use area your residence is in. There are recycle bins at each landfill as well as at the R.M. shop located on the Dalmeny Grid at SE 10-37-6-W3.

How do I apply for a building permit?

When do I need a building permit?

A building permit is required for agricultural buildings over 500 ft2 and non-agricultural buildings over 100 ft2. A permit is also required for basement development that includes structural changes (ie: walls). Please visit the Building Permit page on our website by clicking HERE for more information.

What is the zoning of a parcel of land?

To determine the zoning of a parcel of land, please contact the Planning Department at 242-9303. The legal description of the parcel of land is required. We are currently working on getting the Zoning Map online and apologize for any inconvenience.

Are dogs allowed to run at large in the R.M?

No. Please refer to Bylaw No. 81/98 found in the Bylaws section.

How do I apply for a business license?

The R.M. does not issue business licenses, rather a Development Permit for a Home Occupation or a Home Based Business will be issued upon approval. How many animals am I allowed on my property?

The zoning and property size determines the number of animal units you may have, please refer to Bylaw No. 01/05. To confirm the number of animal units allowed on your property, contact the Planning Department at 242-9303.

How many residences are allowed on my property?

The current R.M. of Corman Park bylaws allow for one residence for every 80 acres. If you have 160 acres, in order to have two residences, the property would have to be subdivided. Do I need a fire permit to burn on my property?

No. The R.M. does not issue burning permits, however you must notify the R.M. office that you wish to conduct a controlled burn. If you are within the Saskatoon Fire Department response area you must contact the Saskatoon Fire Department as well. If you are conducting a controlled burn in an area that a volunteer fire department would respond, the Municipal office will advise the appropriate department of the date, time and location of the burn. If you need to advise outside of regular office hours, please contact the Controlled Burn After Hours number at 1-866-822-8522.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Cash, cheque or interac payments are accepted at the Municipal office. Also accepted, payments made through internet or telephone banking.
