Road Maintenance & Construction
The R.M. of Corman Park Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance along approximately 800 miles of gravel surface and 105 miles of oil surfaced road in the R.M. and 11 Hamlets. The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is responsible for an approximate 130 miles of surfaced road in the R.M as well.
The Municipality is responsible for maintaining the South and West R.M. Boundaries. The R.M. and the City of Saskatoon share a maintenance agreement for the boundary roads between the two municipalities.
The public works department is responsible for all duties associated with new road construction and upgrading, road grading, gravel production (including exploration development) and hauling, seal coat surfacing and asphalt maintenance, road allowance mowing, sign maintenance, waste management and water system operations. The Municipality is divided into nine zones with one grader and an operator assigned to perform road maintenance in each zone.
The R.M. of Corman Park has adopted a uniform approach for specifications and requirements for roads constructed as a condition of subdivision or issuance of a development permit. The attached policy defines these specifications and summarizes the process to be followed by landowners seeking road improvements in Corman Park.

Custom Work
Custom work services offered to residents of the Municipality include driveway & dugout construction, grading, snow removal and mowing. Custom work is done as time permits. The Municipality also performs road construction through road service agreements commonly associated with new subdivision developments.

Road Construction
Municipal Council approves the 'Local Road Construction Priority List' annually. The needs of all areas of the Municipality shall be given equal consideration when construction programs are established. Programs are to be established by priorities based on consideration of the greatest need, the most benefit, alternative roads available, and the condition of the existing road relative to the amount and type of traffic.
The R.M. makes every effort to apply for grants which may be available from other levels of government for road construction projects.

Safe Driving Tips

Allow enough space between you and municipal equipment and sanding trucks. Reduced visability may occur along with ice, small stones and sand being thrown from equipment.
