  • An overweight permit is required for haulers any time they know that the material they are going to be hauling combined with the registered allowable weight of their vehicle, exceeds the limits of road weight standards, set out in the Highway Traffic Act
  • Overweight permits are generally issued for one-way trips along a specified route for a limited period.
